Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst’s first cohort of Year 11 students perform well in their GCSE’s

Many of Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst’s students are celebrating after achieving some fantastic GCSE results. The core subjects of English, Mathematics and Science performed well, with grade 9’s being achieved in all, along with History, Geography and Religious Education, also securing grade 9 results.

Individual results saw many students outperforming their dreams. Haajrah Ashraf achieved three grade 9’s, two grade 8’s and a grade 7; Joe Phillips, two grade 9’s, two grade 8’s, one grade 7 and three grade 6’s; Owain Barnes, one grade 9, one Level 2 Distinction*, two grade 8’s and four grade 7’s; Sophie White, one grade 9, five grade 8’s and one grade 7; Felicia Ashton, six grade 8’s, two grade 7’s and one grade 6; Marcus Merene, one grade 9, one Level 2 Distinction*, three grade 8’s, three grade 7’s; Esha Hussain securing a grade 9 in English Literature and a grade 8 in English Language. Overall, there were 12 grades secured at the top grade of 9.

As Acting Principal and on behalf of all the teachers and staff at Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst, we are extremely proud of the achievements the Year 11’s secured. It is clearly testament to the hard work and effort that the students have put into their studies. I look forward to building on this next year with our new cohort of Year 11 students. I wish all the leaving Year 11 students all the best and look forward to welcoming many of them back into the sixth form to continue their education with us.
