Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst Lettings

Tudor Grange Kingshurst Academy’s state-of-the-art sports facilities, comprise a full size all -weather 3G pitch, changing pavilion, high quality playing fields and 4 floodlit tennis courts. These facilities were made possible thanks to investment from the academy and £492 000 investment from the Premier League & the FA Facilities Fund, which is delivered by the Football Foundation. Solihull Regen, Sport England and the LTA have also invested in this state of the art sports hub that has transformed lives and increased opportunity in the local community.

The Premier League, The FA and Government’s Football Foundation is the largest sports charity in the UK. It champions and supports fair access to quality football facilities for everyone, regardless of gender, race, disability or place. The Foundation receives money from the Premier League, The FA and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, through Sport England. This is matched with partnership funding and awarded as grants to create outstanding grassroots facilities that enable better games and attract more players, helping to transform communities.

Since 2000, it has awarded more than 21,860 grants to improve facilities worth more than £813m – including 996 artificial grass pitches, 9,612 natural grass pitches and 1,258 changing facilities. This has attracted an additional £1bn of partnership funding – totalling over £1.8bn investment in grassroots football so far.

Through the Foundation, the Premier League, The FA, DCMS and Sport England have come together to create Local Football Facility Plans for every area in England. They identify priority projects where demand is greatest, and the impact will be strongest. They will guide work and stimulate the action required to deliver them over the next 10 years to transform many more local facilities. Tudor Grange Academy Solihull was identified as a key priority project to address the deficit of 3Gs in Solihull.

The 3G brings with it the support of the FA who will help provide our school and community with outstanding opportunities through its programmes. Robert Sullivan, Chief Executive of the Football Foundation, said:

“We are delighted that the Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst 3G is open to the public after receiving Football Foundation investment.

“Good quality facilities support the health of local people and communities, which is why we’re investing in projects like this across the country with funding provided by the Premier League, The FA, Government and Sport England.”

The LTA have co-funded our 4 floodlit tennis courts and we are working to support their mission “To grow tennis by making it more relevant, accessible, welcoming and enjoyable.”

At this academy and throughout Tudor Grange Academies Trust we are very keen to increase community engagement and develop high quality sport and physical recreation facilities. Our unique and innovative Outdoor Education and Adventure Centre was supported by Alcoa, the Armed Forces Community Covenant, Birmingham Airport Community Trust Fund and the National Heritage Lottery Fund.

We welcome community use of the school and have appointed Schools Plus to manage lettings. To hire any of our facilities please visit https://www.schoolsplus.co.uk/tgakingshurst
