In GCSE French you will be tested in listening, reading, speaking and writing and will develop transferable skills, relevant to further study and the world of work. The range of topics within the specification aims to inspire students who are interested in French culture and French speaking countries. GCSE French has a Foundation Tier (grades 1–5) and a Higher Tier (grades 4–9). You must take all four question papers at the same tier. In Years 10 and 11 you will cover the topics from the 3 main theme areas. As topics overlap you will study a range of topics from the 3 themes over the course of years 10 and 11 and complete revision of all topics in Spring Term of Year 11:
