The Right Way

– High Expectations for All

At the CTC, we’re continuously striving to set high expectations for all our students in relation to their conduct, attitudes and outcomes. As part of our continued effort to further raise standards for all, the academy has introduced ‘The Right Way’, a comprehensive and consistent approach to ensuring and encouraging positive attitudes from our students toward learning, both within and outside of the classroom.
Underpinning this approach are three core values: being ready, respectful and responsible. To reward Key Stage 3 students for demonstrating that they embrace these values, the academy has launched ‘The Right Way’ loyalty card, where students can collect up to six stamps outside of lessons and during break and lunch times in order to receive a privilege pass for queues in the canteen and a ‘treat’ item. Students should keep this card in the back of their lanyard along with their ID card so that they are ready to receive the acknowledgment from members of staff for behaving positively and respectfully around the academy.

Can we ask for parental support to ensure students are wearing the correct uniform and bringing the correct equipment into school. Please refer to the checklists below for what is required. There will be ‘standards detentions’ on a Friday for students who repeatedly do not meet these expectations.

Morning registration is from 8:30am to 8:45am. You must arrive at the form room for 8:30am. If you arrive after 8:30am, you will receive a late mark and a detention.  It is essential that you are punctual to form for 8:30am.
