Students have access to Word Online, PowerPoint Online, Excel Online and OneNote Online. These are available using any web-browser or mobile device, giving students the flexibility to create and edit Microsoft Office documents without the need to have the software installed on their computer or mobile device. In addition, students have access to the most up-to-date versions of Microsoft Office software. This allows Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote and Outlook to be installed on their home computers and mobile devices free-of-charge, saving parents and carers hundreds of pounds!
To login to Office 365, students need to go to the Office 365 login page, then enter their email address and their password they use to login to the academy’s network:
- their CTCKA password
Office 365 gives you online access to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook as well as allowing you to install these on your desktop computers and mobile devices.
OneDrive for Business
OneDrive for Business is also included, allowing up to 1TB of data to be stored in the cloud – more than enough for all their work for school. Students can create a document from home and save it into their OneDrive for Business, continue to edit the same document on their mobile device and also access the same document from the academy. No need to keep emailing files or saving data on USB drives!
OneDrive for Business gives you 1TB of cloud storage.
To improve communication between students and the academy staff, students are provided with their own email. The format of their email address is email@example.com. This will help to embed our learning platform Connect with their learning and teaching.
All students now have an email address.
Using Connect, each year group have access to important information related to their year including homework, revision, advice and guidance. Homework booklet for each subject for Year 7 and Year 8 are available each half-term.
