Applications for Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst are administered by the Solihull Local Authority.

  • If you would like your child (including siblings) to be considered for a place at Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst in Year 7, you must include Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst as one of their preferences on their Local Authority preference application.
  • You do not need to complete a separate form for Tudor Grange Academy Kingshurst, you only need to complete your Local Authority application as stated above.

Appeals Procedure 2018

If you have not been offered a place you have the right of appeal against the decision. You should telephone the Appeals Administrator Julie Smith on 0121 329 8300 for a form. Appeals are heard by an independent panel.
Your appeal will be heard within the following timetable:

Change of school (applications at any time other than normal intake) 20 school days after receipt of your outcome (refusal) letter 30 school days after your appeal form has been received by the Appeal Clerk

Appeals received after the closing date will be heard within the schedule where possible but this cannot be guaranteed. If the form is received in late June the appeal may not be heard until after the school summer holidays. Appeals are not normally heard during the school holidays.
You will receive ten school days notice of the time and date of the appeal hearing. This can be waived if all parties agree. You will be sent a statement a week before your appeal hearing explaining why your child has not been offered a place and why the school is unable to admit another pupil.
Any additional documents you wish to submit in support of your appeal must be sent to the Appeal Clerk no later than three days before the appeal hearing. Failure to do this may result in your appeal hearing being adjourned.
